Halloween Party gets an unexpected Visitor

I went to my friends' annual Halloween party. It was a good time but quite different from previous years thanks to the curfew that continues to keep Kansas Citians indoors after 9 p.m. The party was during the day this year so that we could spend a few hours together. Last year the fun went well past midnight, but things have changed.

We were all feeling pretty good. I didn't realize how long it had been since we all took time to have some fun. The highlight of the night was when Renee showed up dressed as a Visitor. We all got a good laugh at that - especially when she went around the house "arresting" anyone dressed as a doctor or scientist. She was able to capture Albert Einstein and the people who were dressed up as the cast of "E.R." Good times.

The party ended at 7:30 so that everyone would have enough time to get home safely in advance of curfew. I've been hearing that people who get caught out after 9 have been arrested by the Visitors. I think it's true. One of my neighbors has been missing for two weeks, and the landlord is starting to believe she's not coming back.
