Visitor presence increases on streets of Kansas City

Talk about close to home! This Visitor shuttle is now part of the neighborhood. It landed on the lawn outside the Nelson Art Museum, a few blocks from where I live, and is apparently not leaving anytime soon. It's been here for a few days now. The Visitor who stands on guard outside the shuttle seems pretty jumpy. I guess it's all the uncertainty since the factories were bombed. If I was a Visitor I'd be jumpy, too. A lot of people are not at all happy about this curfew, and I'm sure that doesn't help matters.

KC gets curfew as search for scientists continues

Everyone is buzzing about the new city-wide curfew that was announced last night. I think it is a crazy over-reaction to the factory bombings, but apparently this is happening all over the country.

People in my apartment building are pretty mad about it. As my neighbor put it, Kansas City sure didn't waste any time bending over when the Visitors asked to take charge of policing the city.

Roadblocks like the one pictured are being set up along all major highways to ensure that no scientists can get in or out. Crazy!

Report: Scientists to blame for attacks on factories

CNN just reported that an investigation has uncovered a nation-wide conspiracy of scientists to attack Visitor factories. The goal, according to a report issued by a joint human-Visitor team of investigators, was to obtain information about the Visitors in an apparent attempt to hijack mother ships.

"The Visitors were shocked to learn of this conspiracy," said Visitor spokesperson Christine Walsh (pictured) in a press conference this afternoon. "Unfortunately, scientific seminars that were to have begun this week between Visitors and human scientists will have to be postponed."

The worst part is the attacks may not be over. According to the report I saw on the news, the federal government is going to ask all scientists to register their whereabouts with authorities to prevent further attacks against the Visitors.

Attacks target Visitor factories throughout U.S.

The big news today was a series of attacks that left Visitor factories across the country in flames. It seems crazy that someone would do such a thing. CNN reported that the President is going to call up the Army Reserves to help prevent further attacks.

Locally, the riverside plant was not hit, but city officials said they were working with the Visitors to come up with a tighter security plan. I hope this doesn't scare the Visitors away. Surely they will stay until they get all the materials that they need.

Paper captures first look at small Visitor craft

This picture is from the front page of The Star today. It shows a small Visitor shuttle flying over the fountain in front of Union Station downtown. This is a smaller craft than we've ever seen. Apparently this is one of the first pictures of this type of shuttle because this picture was also on the cover of USA Today and was shown on "Good Morning America."

I still haven't had an up-close look at any of the Visitors. As far as I know, they stay inside the factory where they are working on that chemical. Maybe the Visitors will eventually decide to explore our city and see what it has to offer.

Local news offers up-close look at Mother Ship

Those crazy folks at Fox News hired a plane to take a news crew on a fly-by of the enormous mother ship that's been hovering over the city for weeks now. The footage was pretty amazing even though the plane wasn't able to get too close to the ship.

A Visitor shuttle craft emerged from a hangar bay just as the news plane flew underneath the mother ship. The alien craft escorted the plane to a safe landing at Downtown Airport. According to City Hall, the alien Visitors were concerned that the plane might crash into a shuttle and acted quickly to divert the plane back to the safety of Earth.

The incident prompted City Hall to issue a statement regarding flights around the Mother Ship.

"To ensure the safety of all concerned, we are asking the FAA to institute a no-fly zone around the Mother Ship. Today could very well have ended in tragedy, and we must act quickly to forestall any future fly-bys that endanger the lives of humans and Visitors alike."

Fox 4 posted the video on its web site but I can't seem to find it. More on that later. I've been so busy at work I haven't been too faithful in updating this blog. Will try to do better.
